Jill Leggat visited the group and gave a very interesting and wide ranging talk about the activities of the Trading Standards Group in East Dunbarton.

Community Assets Map

We were visited by the team from the Long Term Conditions group behind the Community Assets Map for East Dunbarton. They were interested in input on the map and associated poster designs as well as asking for input to populate the database with local assets. Link : http://eastdunassets.iriss.org.uk/ A set of three questions were presented to help encourage thinking about the areas amenities; 1) What assets do you use which supports you to manage your long term condition and overall well being ? 2) How does this asset benefit you ? 3) What else would make a difference ? Feedback was requested

Adult Support and Protection

Kirsty Kennedy visited the group to talk about the activities intended to publicise and implement the provisions of the Adult Support and Protection Act.

Seagull Trust

The group enjoyed another splendid sunny day for a trip along the canal on the Seagull Trust boats.

Marianne Maxwell : National Theatre of Scotland

Marianne Maxwell visited the group to talk about the projects being undertaken to modernise and expand the tools used for audio description of shows.

City of Glasgow Meal

Bill Don had arranged for us to have a group lunch at the training restaurant in the City of Glasgow College.
It was very well done with service and cooking provided by the students.

Fiona McLeod MSP

Fiona McLeod MSP visited the group to talk about the proposed bills regarding Responsible Parking and Disabled Persons Parking Badges. The talk also continued touching on topics following on from last weeks speaker about the Welfare Reforms.
