There will be a presentation of the future use of the PenFriend device in the library.

The presentation will be on March 1st at 3pm in the William Patrick Library, Kirkintilloch.

Lucy Begley came to todays meeting and gave an insightful and interesting talk about the products available from Humanware.
In particular the high resolution magnifier with the rotateable camera and the device that very quickly reads printed text placed beneath its camera impressed.

Alistair Aitchison came to the meeting and talked about the recording process and the changes that have happened over the years.

Speaker: Margaret Hutchinson for Guide Dogs Scotland

Margaret gave an entertaining and wide ranging talk re the training, support and care of the guide dogs used by visually impaired people.
